Meet the Staff

Ryan has more than 20 years of experience overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance, agronomy, and administration. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture Production Management with a concentration in Turfgrass Management. Throughout his career, Ryan has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining exceptional playing conditions while balancing sustainability, budgeting, and long-term course planning.

Ryan is an active member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the Midwest Association of Golf Course Superintendents (MAGCS), staying current with industry best practices and advancements. In his leadership role, he works closely with management and staff to ensure the course consistently meets the highest standards, providing an outstanding golf experience for members and guests alike.

Cole brings over 25 years of experience in the golf industry, with extensive expertise in both instruction and golf facility administration. Throughout his career, he has worked with players of all ages and skill levels, developing programs and environments that promote growth, enjoyment, and long-term engagement in the game. Cole has led numerous golf clinics and previously served as the lead instructor for the Highland Park Golf Academy. As General Manager, he oversees operations at Sunset Valley Golf Club and the Highland Park Golf Learning Center, providing strategic leadership while ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and a welcoming experience for members, guests, and staff.

Eileen has been with Sunset Valley since 2018, where she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. In addition, she manages and coordinates outings and events, working closely with staff and clients to ensure each experience is well organized and executed.
